POSITION SUMMARY

The Experiential Marketing Manager will develop and execute field activation and experiential marketing plans based on client objectives for a brand. This individual will oversee, measure and analyze field activation and experiential marketing strategy, processes, content, calendar and promotional plans, campaigns and spend optimization.

CORE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand consumer market and develop/refine activation strategies to ensure appropriate audiences are being tactically reached.

Create, align, refine and continuously evaluate marketing activation strategy to optimize the brand and meet set targets.

Ideate, plan, execute and report ROI on all field activation and experiential marketing activations.

Collaborate closely with field activation and experiential marketing team members, ensuring communication and continuity of strategy and execution of all field marketing activities.

Collaborate with the Digital/Social manager to provide input and synchronize experiential activities with other functional marketing roles and departments to coordinate programming that creates engaging and relevant content across the brand experience (liaison with social, content, influencer and digital media channels).

Define and drive progress of brand awareness.

Source and manage vendor partnerships (includes vendor procurement and negotiations, communication of strategy and creative requirements)

Manage field activation and experiential marketing budgets, inventories, and logistics.

Research, analyze and share competitive field activation and experiential marketing insights and activity from spending time in the field.

Monitor and ensure compliance with all agency and state guidelines, laws, and regulations.

Represent the brand at relevant consumer and industry events.

Coordinating internal resources and vendors for flawless execution of projects

Managing relationships with clients and suppliers

Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Prepare budgets and ensure adherence

Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers

Supervise all event suppliers

Ensure projects are completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur

Prepare event reports

Work cross-functionally with the creative team for event branding and product messaging.

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the marketing field, retail activation and/or experiential marketing role, or events management.

Experience leading high performing field activation and experiential marketing teams.

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.  MBA preferred.

Superior self-motivation and ability to motivate others.

Ability to focus simultaneously on short- and long-term goals and ability to identify, surface and creatively solve problems quickly.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Strong logical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly.

Ability to teach and train others in business concepts.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in PowerPoint and Word with the ability to craft key messages, clear presentations with well-presented supporting data and analysis.

Ability to be extremely detailed with great memory

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to remain on your feet or in stationary position 75% of the time.

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about at events etc.

The person must be able to travel domestically up to 50% of the time, could increase over time.

The person may be required to work through holidays and weekends

The person in this position frequently communicates with other employees/customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

This person must have a knack for attention to detail.

SALARY RANGE: N200- N250,000
